About Ardor
What is Ardor?
Ardor is a telehealth service that connects men experiencing symptoms of low testosterone with licensed physicians who specialize in hormone health. At-home lab kit, physician consultation, and personalized TRT when appropriate — all delivered to your door.
Are these real doctors?
Yes. Every prescription is written by a licensed physician practicing in your state. Our physicians specialize in hormone health — it's their full-time focus, not a sideline.
How is this different from my regular doctor?
Most PCPs spent a few hours on hormone health in medical school and use reference ranges that haven't been meaningfully updated in decades. Our physicians evaluate total T, free T, and symptoms together — not a single number against a one-size-fits-all cutoff.
How is Ardor different from Hone or Fountain TRT?
All three offer TRT via telehealth. Ardor's focus is on the clinical side: specialist-reviewed cases within 24 hours, comprehensive lab work included, ongoing monitoring built into every plan, and transparent all-inclusive pricing. No upsells, no hidden fees.
What states is Ardor available in?
Ardor is available in most U.S. states. Telehealth regulations vary by state — we'll confirm your eligibility during intake. Submit your details and we'll be in touch when our next intake window opens with state-specific information.
Treatment
What medications do you prescribe?
Physician-prescribed testosterone — typically injectable or topical, tailored to your profile and preferences. Your physician determines the specific formulation based on your lab work, symptoms, and lifestyle.
How long before I see results?
Most men notice improved energy and mood within 2–4 weeks. Full effects on body composition and libido typically appear over 2–3 months. Your physician adjusts your dose based on follow-up bloodwork and how you feel.
What are the side effects?
Common short-term effects can include acne, increased red blood cell count, or mild fluid retention — most resolve with dose adjustment. Rare but more serious risks exist, which is exactly why ongoing bloodwork and physician monitoring are included in every plan.
What if the doctor says I don't qualify?
Full refund, no questions. If your labs and symptoms don't support TRT, our physicians will tell you directly — and you're not charged. We will not prescribe if the clinical picture doesn't warrant it. That's a feature, not a bug.
Is this the same as what bodybuilders use?
No. TRT is replacement-level dosing prescribed by a physician and monitored with bloodwork. The goal is to return your levels to where they should be — not beyond. It's not performance enhancement.
Will this affect my fertility?
TRT can reduce sperm production in some men. If fertility matters to you — now or in the future — tell us during intake. Your physician can discuss fertility-preserving protocols (hCG, clomiphene) or alternative approaches. Don't start TRT without disclosing this.
Can I use my existing labs?
If you have recent labs (typically within the last 6 months) that include total T and free T, you can upload them during intake. If they're incomplete or outdated, we'll send you our at-home kit — it's included in every plan at no extra cost.
The Lab Test
What does the at-home test measure?
Total testosterone, free testosterone, SHBG (sex hormone binding globulin), and related biomarkers. This is the panel your PCP probably didn't run in full.
How does the finger-prick test work?
A small lancet creates a tiny prick on your fingertip. You collect a few drops of blood on the included collection card, let it dry, and mail it back in the prepaid envelope. The whole process takes about 5 minutes.
Is the at-home test accurate?
Yes. At-home finger-prick testing for hormones uses validated lab methods and produces results comparable to venous blood draws for the markers we measure. Results are processed in a CLIA-certified lab.
What if my results come back normal?
If your lab results and symptoms don't support TRT, your physician will tell you directly and you'll receive a full refund. "Normal" isn't always the end of the conversation — sometimes it means investigating other causes of your symptoms, which your physician can help direct you toward.
Cost & Insurance
How much does it cost?
Plans start at $149/month — at-home lab kit, physician consultation, personalized prescription, monthly delivery, and ongoing monitoring all included. Quarterly plans available at $129/month (billed $387 every 3 months).
Can I use insurance?
We don't bill insurance directly. Our pricing is often less than endocrinologist co-pays plus separate pharmacy costs, without the administrative friction. You can submit receipts to your HSA/FSA for potential reimbursement.
Can I use HSA/FSA?
Yes. Ardor is HSA/FSA eligible. We provide the documentation you need for reimbursement.
What if I need to cancel?
Cancel anytime from your account dashboard. No cancellation fees. No phone call required. No guilt-trip prompts.
Privacy & Safety
Is my information private?
Completely. All health data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and stored in HIPAA-compliant systems. We never sell or share your information with third parties.
Is this legal?
Yes. Testosterone is a Schedule III controlled substance — legal when prescribed by a licensed physician and obtained through a licensed pharmacy. That's exactly what Ardor does.
How is my medication packaged?
Plain, unmarked packaging with no logos and no product descriptions on the outside. Nobody will know what's inside.
